CYPRUS WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHY FAQs

Planning a wedding in Cyprus comes with plenty of questions. Here you’ll find answers to some of the things couples ask us most about our wedding videography, coverage, films and what to expect when working with AION Films.

Can we request specific shots or moments to be included in the wedding film?

Absolutely. If there are specific people, traditions, or moments that are especially important to you, we’d love to know about them before the wedding.

We’ll keep those priorities in mind while still allowing the day to unfold naturally, so your film feels personal without feeling overly staged or directed.

Do you travel?

Yes. We film weddings across Cyprus and are also available for destination weddings throughout Europe.

If your wedding is taking place outside Cyprus, get in touch with your date and location and we’ll let you know the travel options and any additional costs involved.

What equipment do you use?

We use high-quality professional cameras, lenses, and audio equipment to ensure the best possible results. We also bring backup equipment on the day, so we’re prepared if anything unexpected happens and can continue filming without interruption.

Do you use any distracting lighting equipment?

We prefer to work with natural and available light whenever possible, allowing us to remain discreet and keep the atmosphere of your wedding feeling natural.

When additional lighting is needed, particularly during darker receptions or evening celebrations, we use it carefully and only where it will improve the quality of the film without becoming distracting.

How many videographers will be at my wedding?

This depends on the collection you choose and the size and structure of your wedding. Some celebrations can be covered beautifully by one cinematographer, while larger weddings or days with multiple locations benefit from having two. For weddings with around 80 guests or more, we generally recommend a second videographer so we can capture more of what is happening throughout the day.

Your collection will clearly specify how many videographers are included.

What are your prices?

We offer a selection of wedding videography collections depending on the amount of coverage and the films you would like to receive.

Once you send us your wedding date, venue, and a few details about your plans, we’ll share our current collections and help you choose the option that best suits your day. Our packages start from €895

Do you use drone?

Yes. Aerial filming is available as an additional option and can add a beautiful sense of place to your wedding film.

Drone coverage is always subject to the location, local restrictions, safety and weather conditions on the day. Because these factors are outside our control, aerial filming cannot always be guaranteed.

How long will it take to receive our films?

Our usual delivery time is approximately 12-14 weeks after your wedding.

Every wedding is edited individually, from selecting the footage and working with the audio to colour grading and building the final films. We take the time needed to create something that feels considered and true to your day rather than rushing the editing process.

Do you record audio for the ceremony and speeches?

Yes. Professional audio recording for the ceremony and speeches is included in our wedding collections.

We use dedicated audio equipment and, whenever possible, additional backup sources so that the voices, vows, and speeches that are part of your day can become an important part of your final films. You can check out how we use audio in our films. View our films

Do we get to meet you before the wedding?

Absolutely. We love getting to know our couples before the wedding.

If you’re in Cyprus, we can arrange to meet in person, and for couples planning their wedding from abroad, we can arrange a video call. It’s a chance to talk through your plans, timeline and anything that is especially important to you before the day arrives.

What is the difference between a wedding videographer and a content creator?

A wedding videographer focuses on creating professionally filmed and edited wedding films using cinema cameras, professional audio equipment and a carefully planned editing process.

A wedding content creator usually captures shorter, behind-the-scenes moments on a phone for quick delivery and social media.

Both can be valuable, but they serve different purposes. A content creator is ideal for instant, social-first memories, while a wedding videographer creates a cinematic film designed to document your day in much greater depth and quality.
